I seem to get about 15 or 20 visitors to my site each day. 

I would really like to know who you are, what has led you here. If you're a farmer, tell me about your farm, what you produce, etc.. If I already know you, then just say hi! Whoever you are, I would really like to hear from you, even if it's just a one liner.

I was looking at the site report yesterday. It lets me know where the visitors are coming from. Pretty interesting! Apart from everywhere else, there were 3 visitors from the Shetland Islands. It would be great to hear from you.

So, here we were, reading through the May issue of the Harrowsmith magazine. Jane says, "That's the only issue we ever got after Ceri bought us a years subscription for Christmas last year. I've tried phoning them but the line is always busy. I'll try again". So we did try again. Still busy! So we went on line and found out that the magazine had shut down, closed their doors. Gone is the Harrowsmith magazine.

I remember getting the magazine some 30 years ago. It was printed on non shiney paper and was filled with really good articles about country life. How to raise meat chickens to how to plough a field and everything in between. I still have one of the thick books, the best of Harrowsmith, from all that time ago. They were great articles, really down to earth, about folk trying to make a living from the land and represented the country way of life.

Are there any magazines now that are aimed at that same readership?

I've been busy working on setting my site here. All a big learning experience. What do you think so far?
