2011 Clun Forest lamb sales.

Thanks to everyone who bought one of our rams this year.

22 Clun Forest rams were sold and 3 Suffolk rams. The remaining 4 rams were sold yesterday. We select out the top rams out of about 50 to 60 to sell. We select on multiple birth history, weaning weight, and daily weight gain post weaning.

Ram Lambs For Sale

It's the end of September. You might have seen our adverts in either the Manitoba Co-operator or the Western Producer, "Clun Forest ram lambs for sale".

Yes, we have a selection of our Clun Forest rams for sale. Rams lambs born in April and then a handful of yearling rams.

The ram lambs are $300 each and the yearlings are $400.

We also have a few purebred Suffolk ram lambs for sale. I only have 5 registered Suffolk ewes and so just a handful of ram lambs to sell on.

Our place is at Manson, Manitoba, 10 miles from Moosomin, Saskatchewan or 40 minutes west of Virden.

October 22nd.

I went out and took some photos of my ram lambs that I have to offer this fall. Wow, they are hard to take a photo of. They either hide behind the poorest lamb in the group, stand in some peculiar way or run around, too embarrassed to have their photo taken.

They were born in late April and so this should give you an idea of what they will look like. I sold one yesterday and weighed it just before we loaded it onto Graeme's truck. It weighed in at 122 Lbs.
