Our site will have quite a number of different sections and subjects to discover. Our different breeds of heritage livestock, our Clun Forest Sheep, Black Angus cattle, Berkshire pigs and Border Collie dogs, will each have their own separate pages.

At the moment, with it soon being breeding season for all prairie sheep producers, I am concentrating on finalising the sheep pages. So, once the sheep pages are underway, and if you’re interested in any of our livestock, please click on the other individual pages and sections. There'll be a drop down menu for each category.

Clun Forest Ram Lambs for sale
At this time, October 2011, we have our new crop of ram lambs available, recently weaned, and soon to be awaiting new homes. If you’re interested in a Clun ram for your sheep operation you can find out more about this breed, and our flock, by going to “Our Sheep” page in this web site.

Small Farm Magazine
I’m planning to include an online Small Farm Magazine with articles and ideas. I will be relying on everyone out there to help with this. Added to this, I want to build an email address book so that I can keep interested readers informed of anything that’s happening. I want to hear about your farms and your communities. I’ll be needing, hoping for, your support and ideas, articles and suggestions.

We sold the original farm of Oakwood Grange in the fall of 2010. It was a wonderful farm yard surrounded by a multitude of Oak trees. Our family grew up here but things change and a new location was in the cards for us.
My Red Poll cows on annual Ryegrass in July. The Red Poll breed is now considered a rare breed and is under the watch of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust in the UK..
When so many farms have grown to huge sizes, our farm remained typical of farms of 50 years ago. Much of the equipment and machinary that I used also came from that era. This old Case combine had been well cared for and served me well and easily managed my harvesting work.
I started using horse power for chores in the late 70's and continue to do so today. Tim has been my choring partner for the past 15 years. Here I'm feeding part of our Clun Forest flock on the frozen winter ground.

And so we moved to a much different yard site. Gone is the sheltered green and treed yard and now we have a more typical prairie yard, open to the world and our wonderful prairie landscape.
